Course Selection

Associate Degree in Human Resource Management

Rules:

1.     Students enrolled in the first semester of their study program are given pre-selected courses. Students may select their own courses subject to the choice of courses in scheme of studies if any and the limitations prescribed in the rules below.

i.      For the first semester 15 credit hours and in second semesters up to 17 credit hours are allowed as prescribed in the study scheme.

ii.     For the third and subsequent semester(s) up to 18 credit hours are allowed. However, in certain cases, the University may allow to enroll maximum 21 credit hours.

iii.     For the final semester maximum 21 credit hours are allowed subject to the condition that all degree requirements will be completed within the same semester. In case any student wishes to enroll for one more course beyond the specified credit hours limit in the last two semesters, should submit their request to the Rector through Dean. Rector may allow for the additional course if student’s CGPA is 3.00 or above out of 4.00.

Note:

•    Student shall enroll credit hour wise course load in a regular semester as prescribed in the program’s study scheme. Moreover, maximum limits prescribed for enrollment of credit hours includes ‘F’ or ‘D’ grade courses, if any enrolled.

2.    Students who take fewer credit hours than those prescribed in their scheme of studies will require extra semester/s to complete the curriculum.; in such cases, they will also have to bear the additional cost and time. However, students must complete/pass their degree program within the maximum time limit allowed by the University policy.

3.     During a study program, students may attempt to improve a course with less than "B" grade.

4.    It is mandatory to complete VU001 (Introduction to E-Learning), a non-graded course. Watching all video lessons is essential for a thorough understanding of the Virtual University learning system.

Procedure:

To select your courses, please follow the steps outlined below:

1.    Log in to the LMS and click on the Student Services tab.

2.    Click on the Course Selection link.

3.    Give priority to retaking courses with an 'F' grade and consider improving 'D' grade courses, where applicable.

4.    Select your desired courses by clicking the checkboxes next to them.

5.    Click Save to confirm your course selection.

6.    You may make changes in course selection any number of times before the last date to add, drop or replace course(s).
