Associate Degree in Science
Rules: |
i. For the first semester 18 and second semester a maximum of 17 credit hours are allowed as per the study scheme.
ii. For the third and subsequent semester(s) a maximum of 18 credit hours are allowed. However, in certain cases, the University may allow to enroll maximum 21 credit hours only if student’s CGPA is ≥ 3.00 out of 4.
iii. For Final semester, maximum 21 credit hours of coursework are allowed in addition to final project as applicable, subject to the condition that all degree requirements will be completed within the same semester and no other course selection rules, such as pre-requisite requirements, will be violated.
iv. The minimum course load in a semester shall be according to the study scheme, but in special circumstances it can be minimum of 03-credit hours.
Note: Maximum limits prescribed for enrollment of credit hours includes ‘F’ or any course(s) taken for improvement.
Rules for Final Year Project: |
The Final Year Project shall be of 03-Credit Hours and will be offered in fourth semester.
In order to enroll Final Project, students must have:
I. Achieved a CGPA of 2 or higher.
II. Earned 48 or more credit hours.
Rules for the change of specialization: |
Students can change the specialization in the 2nd semester and onward with the condition that a student will require to take the foundation courses of respective specializations which are offered in the first semester.

Note: In case, a student fails to complete the Final Year Project within the stipulated time due to verifiable recorded reasons, an extension of maximum one semester may be granted by the Dean of the faculty on the recommendation of Head of Department. The permissible maximum duration of the study program shall apply while granting extension.

RECOMMENDATION: Full-Time Regular Students Are Urged To Follow Their Prescribed Scheme Of Studies.
