Rules: |
1. Students enrolled in the first semester of their study program are given pre-selected courses. Students may choose their courses, subject to the options available in the scheme of studies and the limitations outlined in the rules below.
i. Students are required to complete the bridging semester before the start of their first semester.
iI. For the first semester 15 credit hours and for the second semester up to 18 credit hours are allowed.
iii. For the third semester up to 18 credit hours are allowed. However, in certain cases, the University may allow to enroll maximum 21 credit hours.
iv. For last two semesters, maximum 21 credit hours of coursework are allowed in addition to Project/Internship as applicable, subject to the condition that all degree requirements will be completed within the same semester and no other course selection rules, such as pre-requisite. In case any student wishes to enroll for one more course beyond the specified credit hours limit in the last two semesters, should submit their request to the Rector through Dean. Rector may allow for the additional course if student’s CGPA is 3.00 or above out of 4.00.
· Student shall enroll credit hour wise course load in a regular semester as prescribed in the program’s study scheme. Moreover, maximum limits prescribed for enrollment of credit hours includes ‘F’ or ‘D’ grade courses, if any enrolled.
2. Students who take fewer credit hours than those prescribed in their scheme of studies will require extra semester/s to complete the curriculum.; in such cases, they will also have to bear the additional cost and time. However, students must complete/pass their degree program within the maximum time limit allowed by the University policy.
3. During a study program, students may attempt to improve a course with less than "B" grade.
Rules for Internship Report and Capstone Project: |
5. To enroll for an Internship / field experience in the 2nd semester, students will have to:
i. Achieved a CGPA of 2.0 or higher.
ii. Earned 12 credit hours or more for an internship.
iii. Undertake a 6 to 8-week internship in an organization approved by the course teacher.
6. In order to enroll for a Capstone Project in the 3rd semester, students will have to:
i. Achieved a CGPA of 2.0 or higher.
ii. Earned 24 or more credit hours for Capstone Project.
iii. Successfully Passed STA630-Research Methods course.
Note:
· Students are required to complete a capstone project and internship courses, each carrying 3 credit hours to complete the degree requirements as per the prescribed study scheme.
Procedure: |
To select your courses, please follow the steps outlined below:
1. Log in to the LMS and click on the Student Services tab.
2. Click on the Course Selection link.
3. Give priority to retaking courses with an 'F' grade and consider improving 'D' grade courses, where applicable.
4. Select your desired courses by clicking the checkboxes next to them.
5. Click Save to confirm your course selection.
6. You may make changes in course selection any number of times before the last date to add, drop or replace course(s).
