BS Sociology
Rules: |
i. For the first semester a maximum of 17 credit hours is allowed.
ii. For the second and subsequent semester a maximum of 18 credit hours per semester are allowed. However, in special circumstances university may allow students to enroll maximum 21 credit hours.
iii. In case any student wishes to enroll for one more course beyond the specified credit hours limit in the last two semesters, should submit his/her request to the Rector through Dean. He/she may be allowed by the Rector provided that student’s CGPA is 3.00 or above out of 4.
Rules for Internship/Field Experience |
1. In Internship Report (SOCI619: Internship Report), students are required to complete 6-8 weeks internship in any NGO, Social welfare agency or voluntary organization. Students shall get Internship Completion Certificate issued by concerned organization.
2. In order to enroll in the Internship course, the student must have earned 90 or more credit hours.
3. Students will submit a detailed internship report and will give a viva presentation.
Rules for Capstone Project |
1. The Capstone Project shall be of 03-Credit Hours and will be offered in 8th semester.
2. To enroll for a Final Year Project, students must have:
3. These two course are pre-requisite of SOC499-Capstone Project. If a student fails to qualify these two courses, he/she will not be able to enroll in SOC499-Capstone Project.
4. If a student fails to qualify/pass of the Final Year Project, the “F” grade will be awarded to the student in the Final Year Project.

In order to select your courses, follow the steps below:
Note: In case, a student fails to complete the Capstone Year Project within the stipulated time due to verifiable recorded reasons, an extension of maximum one semester may be granted by the Dean of the faculty on the recommendation of Head of Department. The permissible maximum duration of the study program shall apply while granting extension.

RECOMMENDATION: Full-Time Regular Students Are Urged to Follow Their Prescribed Scheme of Studies.
