Course Selection
M.Sc. (Zoology)
Rules: |
i.
For the first and second semesters a maximum of 18 credit hours
are allowed
ii.
For the third and subsequent semester(s) a maximum of 18 credit
hours are allowed.
However, in certain
cases, the University may allow to enroll maximum 21 credit hours
iii.
For
Final semester, maximum 21 credit hours of coursework are allowed in addition to Thesis, subject to the condition that all
degree requirements will be completed within the same semester and no other
course selection rules, such as pre-requisite or specialization requirements,
will be violated.
Note: Maximum limits prescribed for enrollment of credit hours includes
‘F’ or ‘D’ grade courses, if any enrolled.
Rules for the selection of
Research Thesis |
5. In order to enroll for Research
Thesis course, students must have:
i.
achieved
a CGPA of 2.0 or higher
ii.
earned
44 or more credit hours
iii.
student
is required to enroll and complete Thesis Project in the last semester
(carrying a workload of 6 credit hours).
iv.
Final
Thesis Project may only be taken by the fourth (4th) semester
regular students.
Rules for the selection of Course
Work |
6.
In order
to enroll for Course Work, students must have:
i.
achieved
a CGPA of 2.0 or higher
ii.
earned
44 or more credit hours
iii.
student is required to enroll
and complete course work track (carrying a workload of 6 credit hours) in the
last semester
iv. Course work track may only be taken by the fourth (4th) semester regular students.
Rules for the Selection of
Internship |
7. In order to enroll for Internship
course, students must have:
i.
achieved
a CGPA of 2.0 or higher
ii.
earned
44 or more credit hours
iii.
Students are required
to enroll and complete Internship course in the last semester (carrying a
workload of 6 credit hours.
iv.
Internship course
may only be taken by the fourth (4th) semester regular students.
(Note: Students are required to complete and submit a Research
Thesis of 6-credit hours in the final semester. The choice of the Research
Thesis is at the student’s discretion. However, consultation with the
supervisor is compulsory. Students have to submit a detailed write-up of the
Research Thesis and will be required to give presentation and defend before the
panel of examiners.)
