Rules: |
Students enrolled in the first semester of their study Program are given pre-selected courses; all other students may select their own courses subject to their scheme of studies and the limitations prescribed in the rules below.
i. For the first ,second and third semesters a maximum of 9 credit hours are allowed.
ii. For the fourth, and any extra subsequent semesters a maximum of 12 credit hours are allowed.
Students taking less than the course load prescribed by their scheme of studies will require additional semesters to complete the curriculum; in such cases they will also have to bear the extra cost.
During study program, students may attempt to improve a ‘D’ or ‘C’ or ‘B-’ grade course(s) only once before completion of entire course work program.
Rules for Selecting Areas of Specialization |
i. achieved a CGPA of 2.50 or higher.
ii. earned 6 or more credit hours.
Rules for the selection of Two Courses & Special Topics in lieu of Research Thesis |
i. achieved a CGPA of 2.50 or higher
ii. earned 24 or more credit hours
iii. selected an area of specialization and qualified the required two courses of relevant area of specialization .
(Note: Evaluation of the course ‘Special Topics’ will be based on pass/fail criteria and will not affect a student's CGPA. However, being a compulsory requirement, it is necessary to pass this course to fulfill the requirements of the degree program).
